Rotorua Rafting is stoked to have taken out some amazing awards in the 2021 TravellersChoice Awards!

On a cool winters day in 2019, the Rotorua Rafting crew woke up to news that we had been awarded the TravellersChoice on Trip Advisor in three categories. We had taken out #1in the Top 10 Experiences in NZ, #1 in the Top 10 Experiences in the SouthPacific and one of the Top 10 Experiences in the World!! What an amazing feeling... but we weren't stopping there.

We carried on that legacy in 2020, battling COVID-19 Restrictions & border closures.

This year, we went one step further. Taking out a number of awards in Trip Advisor's "Best of the Best";  #1Experience in New Zealand, #1 in the South Pacific, and sweeping up #2 in the WORLD.

This success could not have been possible without you, our Manuhiri (guests) & whanau, past and present. Thank you for your continued support over the years - you have all played a key role in this success and we share these achievements with you.

So here's to you, and here's to many more epic days on the Kaituna!

Oh, and keep those awesome reviews coming we love hearing from you!!

You can read even more about it in this NewZealand Herald article by Thomas Bywater.

Ecology, Culture & Conservation of the Kaituna River

White water rafting on the Kaituna River is often described in terms of adrenaline and waterfalls — and yes, the 7-metre Tutea Falls deserves its reputation. But what many visitors don’t realise is that this river carries far more than rapids. It carries history, cultural significance and an ongoing conservation story that visitors become part of the moment they step into a raft.
